In 2007 alone, Joe DeAngelis, Jason Reed and FLEX Family Fitness Center has raised more than $30,000.00 for the local communities, including Bridgeton PAL, the Susan B Kohman Foundation, the American Cancer Society, as well as raised money for the family of a local boy stricken by cancer. FLEX has been a regular contributor to local events including the Rosenhayen Harvest Festival, Upper Deerfield Days, Pittsgrove Days, Ms Cumberland County Scholarship Pagent, and others. Joe DeAngelis and FLEX staff has assisted in Bridgeton Clean Up with Mayor Jim Begley, as well as assisted with the scares at Fright Night at the Bridgeton Zoo. In addition, FLEX and Joe DeAngelis has appeared at numerous elementary schools in Cumberland and Salem counties speaking to school children regarding the problem of bullying in school.
